Hi Beautiful Souls,
I'm Vandy Frehner
Have You Met The Beast of Self-denial?
I have. The beast looms behind your mirrors and lurks in the shadows of your mind that goads self-consciousness to rear its ugly head. Now and then, the beast may roar,
"I hate your nose. Your eyes are too small." Or "Why does your hair have to be so curly? And my god, your feet are HUGE!"
I've been where you are now. Often, my outfit looked better in my head than it did on me. I'd get so frustrated that the clothes I liked didn't look good on me or that I'd wish I had a different 'easier' or 'nicer' shape. Even though I have a great sense of style, sometimes I let my insecurities take over control, start talking crazy to myself, and voila, there goes my confidence and hello self-doubts!
If you're anything like me, all I wanted was to be free from the beast, be the best version of myself, stop wasting hours to get ready, and never want to question myself again whenever I open my closet like "what should I wear?" or say "I have nothing to wear!"

Every problem has a solution, so I decided that it was time to solve and evolve.

How To Be Free From Your Insecurities?

As a mother of two, my body went through a lot and has changed drastically. From smooth and firm skin to stretch marks, loose skin had me became self-conscious. The style that I used to love wearing was kept in the back of my closet. I would wear clothes to hide the part where I'm insecure, and as a result, my self-confidence and self-esteem slowly diminish. How I dress is how I express myself, and when I couldn't do that, I felt like I was losing myself.
Luckily, I grew up learning how to be expressive about how I feel and look, not to care what others may think of me, to love me for me, and to know that I'm beautiful as I am. I always kept that in mind, felt lucky to have that as my foundation, so when the self-denial occurred, these reminders were my comfort and reassurance.

I knew it wasn't enough because I would get triggered when I see my scars, stretch marks, and imperfections on my body. So I realized that to be free from my insecurities, I had to truly change my mindset and accept my flaws.

It doesn't happen overnight, but slowly and surely, it takes courage, support, patience, and a lot of self-love.
If I could do this, you can too!
I created the Foundation of Confidence to help you overcome yours.

SOLVE
I Knew It From The Start...

From sewing barbie clothes at the age of 6, assisting my grandmother, who was a seamstress, and then took a Textile Design course in school, I felt it in my heart that I will one day be a boss babe in Fashion.

So I decided to improve what I already know and enrolled for three years in a Fashion Styling & Image Consultant institution. From there, I've gained knowledge and skills, but mostly an understanding of how style can impact my life and others.

It wasn't until I got a retail job, that I had discovered my specialized skill set by using style to communicate who you are.

The experience had made me realize what Fashion meant. It's more than just clothes. It's how people perceive you, how you feel internally, and what you attract. It is a rewarding feeling to put a smile on someone's face because they loved the way they look and feel about themselves. That had become my whole purpose to why I do what I love and love what I do, and that is...
